Why You Should Exercise To Improve Your Mental Health

During Lockdown it is all to easy for us to fall into low moods, depression, anxiety and a general sense of WHY!

You are not alone in experiencing that overwhelming feeling of unease in these strange times.

Whether it be feeling on edge about the future, money worries, loneliness, anxiety about going out, the list goes on, its important to know YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

We are all struggling in some way, it's how we over come these feelings or certainly outweigh them with positive energy and feelings of achievement and success. We need to create a sense of accountability and some kind of progress/accomplishment to keep us moving forward in a positive way and overcome the low moods.

I have filmed a Video discussing this further, I hope you can take something from it to help move you forward with introducing goal setting and exercise into your life.

Set yourself some goals, exercise related doing things you like, however small they are. Like going for a walk 3 times a week, doing a bike ride 3 times a week, anything you enjoy and make yourself accountable for it. So write it down or arrange to do it with someone else so you plan and set dates and times to make yourself do it. All these things will help improve your mood and any feelings of negativity!!

There are also plenty of home workouts you can try from HIIT, LBT, BODY CONDITIONING & YOGA. Even if you managed 10 minutes of a workout and built up to the hour how amazing would you feel.
